Apocalypter is a single-player post-apocalyptic driving, survival, and FPS open-world game from SawyerK Games. Fight, help, or trade with factions. This Apocalypter wiki groups pages by the next stuck point. The Apocalypter guides cover the first hour, part adjuster, cars, food and water, weapons, merchants, navigation, and warlords. A second Apocalypter wiki pass should still match Steam App 4146760. Use an Apocalypter guide when you need the loop, not a pirate mirror. Verified September 29, 2026. This wiki
Download, crack, and trainer searches are not guide pages here. Steam is the only storefront this site links.
Apocalypter is a drive-loot-build loop. Learn the handbrake and weapon holster before you chase warlords. There is no world map.
Find a usable vehicle, glance at oil and radiator water, and treat the cabin as a moving base.
This is Steam Apocalypter by SawyerK Games, not The Long Drive and not a Roblox pet game.
Community reports cars rolling away if you hop out without the brake. Set it every time you loot on foot.
A rolling car in the dunes is a longer walk than any POI.
Developer reply on Steam: press 0 (zero) to sheathe a weapon so you can use both hands.
Do not drop and pick up weapons just to free your hands.
Eat bugs, dogfood, and mystery meats. Butcher animals and mutants; cook meat at fires or a portable stove.
Community: food spoils. Maggot farms can take raw, cooked, or spoiled food.
Jugs at POIs, camp collectors, and portable dew collectors on a roof rack keep thirst down.
One dew collector is often not enough if you also water plants.
Use the compass and landmarks. Roads help until they dead-end. Night needs extra headlights.
Do not memorize a seed as a public map — the world is procedural.
Merchants buy junk and sell randomized stock. Currency is rusted nuts.
Community: save-and-reload can reroll merchant inventory.
Official rule: no part-to-car limits. Use the part adjuster to move and rotate engines, exhaust, and radiators.
Roof racks, crates, and boxes add storage for a moving base.
The long goal is to eliminate warlords and attach trophies to the car. Prep ammo, armor, and a reliable engine first.
Demo-era Buzzdork names need a 1.0 recheck on the warlords page.
Steam News posted hotfixes after launch. Official invite: https://discord.gg/bmhhHtCZgT.
Channel names are TBA. Confirm the splash matches SawyerK Games.
Steam Apocalypter — not The Long Drive, not Mad Max 2015, not Roblox codes.
Pull it before you loot on foot.
Press 0 to sheathe a weapon.
Compass and landmarks only.
Dew collectors on the roof rack help, but stack sources.
Official: install any kind of car part on any car.
Official Steam copy: any part installs on any car. Functional, cosmetic, storage, and utility parts all share that rule. The part adjuster is how you move exhaust and engines — a real search query, not a flavor line.
Engines (gas and diesel), radiators, suspension. Watch oil, water, and overheat damage.
Roof racks, crates, and boxes. Community uses crates as extra inventory stacks on and in the car.
Portable maggot farms, dew collectors, weed and tobacco plants turn the car into a moving camp.
Steering wheels, gear levers, seats. Nice, not the first loot priority.
Select a part, then move or rotate it. Community: numpad plus on-screen buttons. This is the answer to “moving exhaust” searches.
Official: find different cars and customize them. There is no published spawn table. Hunt wrecks, camps, and boss sites.
Loot first
Abandoned buildings, wrecks, caves, faction camps, and bases are the listed location types.
Risk
Hostile camps and warlord rocks can hold vehicles. Demo notes mentioned a boss car — re-verify in 1.0.
Hotfix
Sep 26 notes: cars auto-detach bumpers when a trailer attaches; lift kits detach trailers to connect cleanly.
One car
The Demo only had one car. Full release is the source for “how to find different cars.”
Hunger, thirst, and sleep are real. Official foods: bugs, dogfood, mystery meats. Cook after butchering. Dew collectors and maggot farms ride on the car.
Eat
Community: cook at campfires, fire pits, or a portable gasoline stove. Rats cook; some animals butcher.
Drink
POI jugs, camp collectors, portable dew collectors. Roof racks are the listed mounting hint.
Heal
Official: body armor, bandages, first aid kits. Enemies drop ammo, weapons, or healing.
Unverified
Steam thread claims sanity DOT and mutant spawns. Treat as community observation until a Steam note or your HUD names it.
Official: many melee and ranged weapons with different stats and calibers. Enemies drop matching ammo. Community names are unverified stats.
No ammo
Community list: shiv, old knife, machete, pipe wrench. Blades butcher; wrench may not.
Calibers
Community: .22 pipe pistol, 9mm SMG, 20 gauge pipe shotgun, crossbow. Damage numbers are player guesses.
Character
Official upgrades: body armor, backpack, flashlight, binoculars.
Car
The car is a weapon. Ram, then hop out only with the brake set.
Official long goal: eliminate all warlords and attach trophies to the car. Progress is loot → reliable car → trade → boss prep, not a skill tree.
Food, water, brake, holster, and a running engine.
You can leave a POI and find the car again.
Racks and crates so you can haul parts and food.
You can mount a dew collector without dumping loot.
Pick one caliber you can restock from enemy drops.
You can clear a small hostile camp without emptying the trunk.
Wrecks, caves, camps, traders. Compass beats a copied “map.”
You can name why a road is a trap.
Prep armor, ammo, and a car you can kite around.
You attach a trophy without losing the car to physics.
Sep 26–28 hotfixes changed trailers, bosses in peaceful mode, and more.
